libgavl1 software package provides low level audio and video library - runtime files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgavl1
libgavl1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgavl1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgavl1 *
You will get with libgavl1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
